The Power Of Street Music

Talented musicians played
in the downtown street
on the sidewalk actually
in front of a candy store

​

People danced freely
as the sun beamed down
the warmth a wonderful tonic
mixed with awesome guitar solos

​

A singer belted out tunes
with her power and presence
and a heart shaped ring
reminding us to love each other

​

There was a calm breeze
gentle as the most beautiful aria
the warm day so pleasant
and a margarita with extra salt

​

And that's what happens
when music takes hold of you
on a warm Saturday afternoon
in front of a candy store

​

and a heart-shaped ring
reminds you to love thy neighbor
