At Twilight Time

By Sharon Lea

Twilight is such poetry
in gentle, perfect motion
from daytime into night
without much commotion

brilliance comes at twilight
those hues of rosy red
the sky is full of magic
as day gets put to bed

It's that beautiful space
before the moon is high
when everything is gentle
a mother sings her lullaby

the cool air is soothing
those worries left behind
stars in all their wonder
just speak of being kind

So in between day and night
twilight tells a beautiful story
if you listen with your heart
you understand morning's glory
